Taken Blame is the gorgeous new track from Sydney artist Gordi, real name Sophie Payten.
Payten moved to Sydney from Tanzania in order to develop her music and study medicine. Taking early demos recorded in her university dorm room in Sydney's Newtown she worked with Melbourne producer Banjamin McCarthy to turn them into the full widescreen versions we hear now.
First single Nothing's As It Seems got picked up by Triple J and Taken Blame builds on the earthy folk-infused pop of that first track and takes Gordi's sound to new heights. This is the first track from an EP, due in May, so expect to here much more from Gordi in 2015.
