Eternity is the new shoe-gazey ambient pop release from 20-year-old Brisbane solo artist Yóste. The artist, real name Kurt Sines, cites influences including Bon Iver and Active Child, and you can hear those come through in the dreamy reverb-heavy melodies on Eternity.
Jack Garratt continues to deliver on the hype - recent track The Love You're Given (below) hit number one on Hype Machine, and it is a delicious and incredible piece of distortion laden soul. Here it gets a lovely re-rub by Glasgow three-piece Prides, who add a bit of dramatic R&B sheen reminiscent of the slick synthetic stabs of Junior Boys. Love love love.
Lovely piece of French touch style house goodness from Finnish producer Roisto. This comes from fledgling label Youth Control, and if Apart In Love is anything to go by they should be ones to watch this summer. I love the melancholic edge to this track - like the morning after a great night where your head just wants to be back in the moment.
Apart In Love is the title track taken from the forthcoming EP, out on 27 January.
There are hints of both Burial and Machinedrum on this track from Leicester based producer Prayer. A big slab of urban and grime influenced melodic electronica. This is reportedly a taster of what to expect in 2015. The track is a free download - grab it from the Soundcloud player below.
Nice remix of one of the tracks from Hugh's latest EP, One Of These Days. Love the loose feel of this - it's totally in keeping with the bands overall aesthetic but with an added twist.
