Stream: The Choir - Morly

The Choir is the latest track from producer, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Morly. Following her mostly instrumental debut EP In Defense Of My Muse it is only the second track to feature Morly's vocals.

The Choir is a delicately woven track, deep bass rumbling beneath layers of vocals and gently swaying percussion. It's a sparse and beautiful piece and comes from the Cascine stable (home to Cuushe and Yumi Zouma).

Following on from January's EP The Brae, Yumi Zouma are back with what in my view is their best track yet. Cue floaty breathless vocals and weightless melodies that feel like floating in a pool of infatuation. There is a slightly more electronic, disco influenced sound here and it suits Yumi Zouma's music perfectly.

Yumi Zouma are New Zealand trio Charlie, Kim and Josh and they are just about to drop their debut EP on 11 February through Cascine. Based on the three tracks they have released so far expect soft dream funk with plenty of romance and air kissing.

Check out the three tracks the band have put on Soundcloud. The Brae is the most heartbreaking of the three, full on dream pop with lovely vocal harmonies and a lovely but downtrodden chorus. A Long Walk Home For Parted Lovers is sensual, a soft patter and whispered vocals whilst Sålka Gets Her Hopes Up has a nice stop-start rhythm and a killer hook in the chorus. All three are pretty special.
