This is the first track I've heard from Naomi Pilgrim, but it's a corker. Sassy dance-influenced R&B, it's a song about those days where everything should be great but you just aren't feeling it so you need that extra little kick to get you out of bed. Love the production, the vocals and the sentiment... One to watch.

Stream: Chemicals - Sirena
Highly emotive pop from 22-year-old Swedish singer Sirena, who spent her years growing up between Barcelona and Stockholm. Sirena has always been inspired to be creative, whether it be through poetry, photography, dance or singing in choirs, but ultimately music making became her calling after a spiritual awakening that saw her drop out of school and focus on it full time.
Stream: Alena - Yumi Zouma
Following on from January's EP The Brae, Yumi Zouma are back with what in my view is their best track yet. Cue floaty breathless vocals and weightless melodies that feel like floating in a pool of infatuation. There is a slightly more electronic, disco influenced sound here and it suits Yumi Zouma's music perfectly.
Stream: Heroine - The Night VI
A track packed full of golden melodies and brassy vocals here from The Night VI. There is more than a little Stevie Nicks to the track, the sort of song that shimmers with a glossy surface layer that only partially obscures the rawness of the lyrics beneath.
Heroin is about a femme fatale, says Sophie-Rose Harpe:
"She knows what she wants and how to get it but she'll ruin you much like the drug ... She's like your mum's worst nightmare but there's another side to her one that raises you up and keeps you wanting more"
Heroin is taken from the band's second EP, DIY, due on 17 November through Duly Noted Records and available exclusively from the band's live shows in a limited physical run or 500 CDs. Also check out Sienna and Wonderlust, both from the same EP, below:
Stream: Runaway - Grace Mitchell
16-year-old Portland singer Grace Mitchell has been causing a bit of a storm since unleashing her first couple of songs back in August. Yesterday she dropped this new epic ballad, Runaway, and it delivers the same heightened and cinematic scale of her previous tracks. There's undoubtedly more than a hint of the mature-beyond-its-years pop sensibility of Lorde here and I can't wait to hear a proper release.
Check out Runaway above, along with Grace's earlier tracks.
